Designer of the bold Simona soap for Maison Milan, Samuel Accoceberry was awarded the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris in 2013 for his body of work, as well as several international honours, including three Red Dot Design Awards. The soap fashioned for Maison Milan is a tantalizing full sensory experience with its innovative shape and unique scent.
Known for her harmonious and simple style, the designer Chifen Cheng, explores the way lines and shapes intersect space. The artist native of Taiwan plays skillfully with light and shadow, creating minimalist and functional objects. Numerous publications have featured her work, including Monocle, Elle Decoration and Design Milk. She has collaborated with the design company Umbra and is the recipient of a Grand Design Award, A'Design Awards (Italy) and the Best Prototype Award of IDS (Toronto).
In 2015 Milan worked in partnership with the renowned Italian designer Carlo Trevisani. Known for his minimalist and refined designs combining European elegance with the finest materials in Quebec, the Milan team challenged Carlo Trevisani to create an object with an Italian soul, crafted from selected Québec timber. The Sofia pepper mill is the result of this partnership and has garnered two awards, in 2015, the Grand Prix Design in Canada, and in 2016, the ADI in Italy.
A devotee of the pure, beautiful shape, Catherine Djurklou crafts her handmade products in Sweden where nature is never more than a short walk away. By partnering with Maison Milan, the native of Stockholm shares her unique ceramics with the world. As a designer, she created and designed Lola, a ceramic espresso cup whose coppery reflections will enthrall coffee lovers, from the first intense golden brown drop.
Since graduating from the Université de Montréal in Industrial Design, he has worked in graphic, exhibition and furniture design at GSM Design between Montreal and Singapore. Fascinated by an eclectic and timeless approach, this talented Canadian designer is dedicated to industrial and interior design.
